In the third quarter of 2024, the performance of the top sports apps on iOS in Germany showcased varied trends in downloads and active user engagement, according to data from Sensor Tower.

Olympics: Live Sports & News saw a significant surge in weekly downloads at the start of the quarter, peaking at approximately 168K in the week of July 22. However, this was followed by a sharp decline, ending the quarter with downloads dropping to a mere 55. The app's weekly active users mirrored this trend, with numbers climbing to nearly 294K in late July before tapering off to around 3.5K by the end of September.

PlayerPlus - team organization experienced a steady increase in weekly revenue, reaching a high of about $33.4K in early September. Downloads also saw a gradual upward trend, peaking at 12.8K in early September. The app maintained a robust base of weekly active users, growing from 317K at the beginning of the quarter to approximately 387K by its end.

FUSSBALL.DE demonstrated consistent growth in both downloads and active users throughout the quarter. Weekly downloads began at 4K and rose to over 14K by mid-September. The number of active users increased steadily, starting at 310K and reaching approximately 580K by the end of September.

adidas: Shop Shoes & Clothing showed a slight decline in weekly downloads from 16K in early July to around 8.5K by the end of September. Despite this, the app's weekly active users remained relatively stable, fluctuating between 40K and 58K throughout the quarter.

Finally, the Tipico Sportwetten App experienced a notable spike in downloads at the start of the quarter with 46.6K, followed by a decline. By the end of September, downloads had decreased to approximately 5K. Active users also saw a downward trend, dropping from 136K at the beginning of the quarter to about 77K by the end.
